Important update: your new EVM deposit address is here

A smoother, safer, and more reliable deposit experience is on the way.

This update is designed to enhance security, streamline deposits, and address some common pain points our users have encountered. If you're an active depositor, this update directly impacts how you interact with your wallet, read on for all the details.

Why the upgrade?

In the fast-paced world of crypto, staying ahead means prioritizing safety and efficiency. Our previous EVM deposit addresses served us well, but we've listened to user feedback and identified opportunities for improvement.

The new addresses fix a pesky bug related to consecutive deposits, making transactions smoother and less prone to errors. Plus, they introduce advanced recovery features for wrong token deposits, something our old system couldn't handle as effectively.

What changed on November 26, 2025 4 AM UTC?

As of November 26, 2025 4 AM UTC, your EVM deposit address was automatically updated. No action was required on your end to trigger this. Here's a quick rundown of what to expect now:

  • Accessing your new address: Log in to your Offramp account, head to the Homepage, and click "Deposit." You'll see a prompt to confirm you understand the supported networks, simply click "I Understand," and your fresh EVM deposit address will appear. This is your go-to for all future crypto deposits.
  • Best practices for deposits: Always use the address that's revealed right after clicking "Deposit." This ensures you're working with the most up-to-date and secure option. If you've saved an old address in your wallet app, browser bookmarks, or anywhere else, now's the time to delete it to avoid any mix-ups.

Please use this newly generated address for all future crypto deposits. This ensures your transactions are processed securely and without interruption. We also recommend deleting any previously saved versions of your old address to prevent accidental transfers.

Rest assured, this upgrade maintains compatibility with our global address system. All previous addresses remain functional, and properly sent funds to them will continue to be routed and received, even beyond the initial transition period. However, for the best experience, we strongly recommend switching to the new one immediately.

What about the old addresses?

We know change can be disruptive, so we've built in safeguards to make the switch as painless as possible:

  • Grace period: For the first 30 days post-update (until December 26, 2025 4 AM UTC), deposits to your old EVM address will still be accepted and processed without issue.
  • Post-grace period: After that window, while the routing remains the same and valid deposits should still arrive, using the old address increases the risk of complications. In rare cases, funds sent to outdated addresses might not be recoverable, potentially leading to permanent loss. To avoid this, stick with the new address.
